VRo Frequently Asked Questions

When I start WorldUp, a dialog comes up that says it could not find <WorldUp Path>\plugins\WUPMathIDE.dll.

I installed VRo, but I am getting the following error from MATLAB when I attempt to use it: MATLAB error message: unable to create descriptor cache.

I have dragged-and-dropped the WorldUP ActiveX Control into my Simulink model, but I can't access the mask to load my VR scene.

You need to have the latest WUP Patch installed. You can get the patch from Sense8's ftp site here. Running the installer will update your WUP executable.

The problem is related to your graphics card and the installed OpenGL 3D/VR player. You need to verify that OpenGL is enabled or consider switching over to the Direct3D version of the 3D/VR player. You can find the installation for the Direct3D player at the VRo Resources homepage.

Also, in a few instances, the MATLAB Web Server service has been known to cause problems for the OpenGL drivers. If this is the case, you need to stop the Web Server service for the simulation to work correctly.

The mask is accessed by double-clicking on the thin black border that surrounds the WorldUP ActiveX Control.
