What is VRo? |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
VRo is an acronym for Virtual Reality object.
It is an interface for bridging two world-leading simulation software packages: MATLAB and Simulink for numerical simulation and WorldUp for visual simulation. VRo exploits MATLAB and Simulink's OOP (Object Oriented Programming) and ActiveX control containment and WorldUp's Plug-in capabilities. A user can develop a virtual world in WorldUp, expose the desired objects and properties to MATLAB, and then control their virtual world from MATLAB or Simulink. Utilizing MATLAB's OOP, the overloaded SET command allows users to work with VR objects as if they were MATLAB handle graphics objects. With the VRo blockset, the WorldUp ActiveX control can be dragged and dropped into a Simulink model. Upon specifying the VR file to load, the activeX block automatically generates the input block for all the exposed objects and their properties. |
